About YMR

Yvonne Reed started her professional life as a librarian, ending up as the departmental head of cataloguing and classification. She then moved on, becoming Director of Information Services in a cutting-edge government-funded project using information technology to provide a national online information service.

In 1989, Yvonne set up her own information management consultancy – usually known as YMR. She has worked on varied projects, from small companies to government departments, often continuing to work with specific clients for many years. Clients include various branches within the Department for Education and Skills, the Department for Work and Pensions, the Learning and Skills Council (the LSC), Camlearn, the Open Learning Federation, Pergamon Open Learning, the Post Office, the Association for Education and Training (ADSET), learndirect, Hobsons Publishing, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (the QCA), Vetstream Ltd, RHC Consultancy, Attention Grabbers and Cambridge Arts and Sciences.
